    The question paper has five sections: A, B, C, D, and E, with a total of 34 questions. All questions are compulsory.

    • Section A: Questions 1 to 21 are multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark.
    • Section B: Questions 22 to 27 are short answer type, each question is of 3 marks. Answer should be written between 60-80 words.
    • Section C: Questions 28 to 30 are long answer type, 8 marks each. Detailed answers to be written within 300-350 words.
    • Section D: Questions 31 to 33 are source-based questions, with three sub-questions, each carrying 4 marks.
    • Section E: Question 34 is map-based, worth 5 marks. Students need to identify and locate specific items on the map, and they have to attach the map with their answer book.

    There is no choice in the overall paper, but some questions may have internal choices. Students must attempt only one choice in such questions. Additional instructions are provided within each section and question.
