Law of Constant Proportion
The law of constant proportion states that in any given chemical reaction, the mass of each element involved in the reaction will always be in the same proportion to each other. This law is also sometimes called the law of definite proportions.

One such exception is the square root law, which states that if the dimensions of two objects are changed in such a way that the new objects are related to the original objects by a square root, then the ratio of the two quantities is also a square root. Another exception is the cube root law, which states that if the dimensions of two objects are changed in such a way that the new objects are related to the original objects by a cube root, then the ratio of the two quantities is also a cube root.

- A good example of the law of constant proportionality is the relationship between the speed at which a car is driving and the distance it travels.
- As the car’s speed increases, the distance it travels in a given amount of time also increases.
