    As (1–p)is root of the equation  x2+px+(1–p)=0,
    Substituting it in the given equation,
    (1–p)2+p(1–p)+(1–p)=0 1–p1–p+p+1=0 1–p=0
     p=1 The given equation now becomes x2+x=0
     xx+1=0
