    2x+y=-2, 3x-y=7.
    From the first equation we have,
    y=-2x-2 … (1)
    Put this value of y in the second equation.
    3x-(-2x-2)=7 5x+2=7 x=1 y=-2x-2
    y=-2(1)-2
    y=-4 Put this value of y in (1),
    -4=-2x-2
    x=1
    Therefore, x=1 and y=-4.
    Hence, the correct option is 1.
