Given equations are

5 x - 2 y = 13, 4 x + 3 y = 15

Let us consider the equation

5 x - 2 y = 13

and write it as

x = \frac{13 + 2 y}{5}

Substitute the value of

x

in another equation

4 x + 3 y = 15

, we get,

4 (\frac{13 + 2 y}{5}) + 3 y = 15

\Rightarrow 52 + 8 y + 15 y = 75

\Rightarrow 23 y = 23

\Rightarrow y = 1

Substituting this value of
