    The given equations are,
    x=2y-1 … (1)
    y=2x-7 … (2)
    From (1) we have,
    ⇒ x=2y-1 Put the value of x in (2) we have,
    ⇒ y=2×(2y-1)-7
    ⇒ y=4y-9
    ⇒ y=3
    Putting the value of y in (1).
    ⇒ x=2y-1
    ⇒ x=2×3-1
    ⇒ x=5
    Therefore, x=5,y=3 .
    Hence, the correct option is 3.
