    An object of mass 5 kg is dropped from a height of 10 m. Its kinetic energy when it is halfway down is 245 J.
    Given :
    mass(m) =5 kg
    height (h)=10 m
    At halfway down, potential energy is equal to kinetic energy. Therefore,
    P.= mgh
     PE = 5 kg × 9.8 m/s2 × 10 m   [as = 9.8 m/s2]
     PE = 490 J.
    According to the law of conservation of energy, at half the height, half of the potential energy will get converted into the kinetic energy of the object therefore, the kinetic energy at half the height will be equal to
