What is the CEED 2024 Exam?
CEED is a national-level entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to offer admission to M.Des and Ph.D. programs in design at renowned institutes like IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, and many more. Admissions to postgraduate design courses are offered based on CEED 2024 scores and interviews.

CEED 2024 Exam Eligibility Criteria

CEED 2024 Exam Syllabus
Candidates need to know the whole syllabus for the CEED 2024 examination to score well and get admission into the various institutes. CEED 2024 Exam Syllabus is distributed into two different parts:

CEED 2024 Exam Results
The results of the CEED 2024 will be announced on March 6, 2024. The results will be available online through the CEED 2024 admission portal. Candidates must log in to the result portal with their candidate credentials to view their results.
Part A marks for all candidates will be included in the final score. Part B marks and CEED 2024 merit ranks, on the other hand, will be made available only to those candidates who have been shortlisted.
Part B is descriptive, so it is evaluated holistically using the criteria outlined in the question paper. The candidate is not given access to the evaluated answer booklet for Part B. Furthermore, neither Part A nor Part B is subject to re-evaluation.
The scorecard for CEED 2024 will be available for download from around the 2nd week of March 2024 to the 2nd week of June 2024.
- The scorecard can be downloaded through the candidate portal. Hard copies of the scorecard are not sent to the candidate.
- The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to Part A and 75% weightage to Part B.
- The CEED 2024 scorecard will be valid for a period of one year from the date of the declaration of results.
- The scorecard can’t be used as proof of date of birth, category, or disability status.
CEED 2024 Exam CutOff
Part A is a CEED 2024 qualifying exam, with the qualifying cut-off being announced in February 2024, as indicated by standard deviation (11.16) and mean deviation (18.62). Candidates who achieve the minimum Part A qualifying marks will have their Part B test paper manually graded.
Part B answer books will be manually evaluated for those who were shortlisted in Part A. The CEED 2024 merit list will be determined solely by Part B scores.
When participating institutes announce the CEED 2024 cutoff, it will be published. Each institute has its own cutoff, which is determined by factors such as the number of applicants, available program seats, and preferred programs. The cutoff also takes into account the minimum qualifying marks as specified by the institutions.

How hard is the CEED exam?
However, most design aspirants agree that when the difficulty levels of all design entrance exams for PG-level courses are compared, the CEED is slightly easier than the NID Entrance Exam. This is primarily due to the fact that the drawing questions in NID are considered to be more difficult than those in the CEED exam.
