BIEAP Courses

BIEAP Examination

The Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) conducts Intermediate Public Examinations in three phases.

1. Social and Environmental Responsibility Exams are mandatory for all intermediate students. They include Ethics and Human Values and Environmental Education. Students must complete both exams and related project work to qualify.
2. Practical BIEAP Examinations are for students in the Science and Vocational streams. These tests assess hands-on skills and understanding of practical concepts.
3. Theory Examinations are written exams for all students. They cover the subjects they have chosen in their respective streams.

The Intermediate exams for both 1st year and 2nd year are held every year in March, and BIEAP results are generally declared in April. Over a million students take part in these exams annually. BIEAP uses a 1000-mark evaluation system. It is divided into two parts: 1st Year, which carries 500 marks, and 2nd Year, which also carries 500 marks.

BIEAP Affiliation

The Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh is responsible for granting affiliation to private educational institutions. Institutions that have already received permanent affiliation for the Senior Secondary or Secondary level do not need to reapply for the same.

However, if an institution has been upgraded and now seeks affiliation for a higher level (either Secondary or Senior Secondary), it must submit a fresh affiliation application along with the prescribed fee to the board.

Each year, in March or April, the board sends blank affiliation forms along with detailed instructions to private schools or institutions. Schools seeking affiliation must fill out the official prescribed proforma, duly signed by the Head of the Institution. The application should also include an attested copy of the recognition letter, the society registration certificate, and the applicable fee. The fee structure is as follows:

• ₹15,000 for institutions with temporary recognition seeking temporary affiliation (valid up to the date fixed by the competent authority).
• ₹25,000 for institutions applying for permanent affiliation for Secondary or Senior Secondary examinations (this is a one-time payment).

BIEAP Examination Guidelines

The BIEAP board has strict guidelines to maintain the integrity and discipline of the BIEAP examination process. Below are responsibilities categorized by role:

BIEAP Post Examination Responsibilities of Schools/ACs

1. All used and unused exam scripts must be sent back to the Board’s Headquarters in the plastic envelopes provided.
2. The attendance sheet must be complete, and all absentees should be marked properly.
3. A Supervisor’s Report, Returned Exam Papers Log, and answer sheets should be enclosed in the sealed envelope.
4. The envelope must be signed across the seal by the supervisor.
5. Papers must be sent back within 3 days of the exam. Any delay should be reported to the Controller of Examination immediately.
6. The Centre Representative must ensure all papers are correctly counted.
7. The Regional Head is responsible for preparing the result gazette after result declaration.

BIEAP Guidelines During the Examination

1. No student is allowed to leave the room in the first 30 minutes or during the last 15 minutes.
2. After 15 minutes of the examination start, no student will be allowed to enter.
3. Identity of students must be checked using Admit Cards, which should be placed on the top right corner of their desks.
4. If a student fails to show valid ID, this must be recorded. No ID means no exam.
5. Missing candidates after 30 minutes must be marked as “absent” on the attendance sheet.
6. Surveillance must be maintained at all times; candidates should never be left unsupervised.
7. Students are not allowed to leave and return during the exam unless under supervision.
8. No communication between candidates is allowed without invigilator permission.
9. Invigilators must not use phones, laptops, or work on personal tasks during exams.
10. Invigilators should actively walk around and assist students when needed.
11. All conversations among invigilators must be silent or outside the hall.

BIEAP Instructions for Invigilators

1. 1 or 2 invigilators must be present per BIEAP exam room. For rooms with over 25 candidates, one invigilator is required for every 25 students.
2. Question papers are not to be released more than 30 minutes before the exam.
3. All bags and electronic devices must be placed in secure areas.
4. Students found with a mobile phone during the exam will be disqualified and not readmitted.
5. Once papers are distributed, students must check and fill required details.
6. Supervisors must remind students of exam rules like no cheating or talking.
7. After the exam, papers must be collected and counted before any student leaves.
8. Invigilators are responsible for script collection, solving exam queries, and reading announcements.
9. They must arrive 30 minutes early and sign in.
10. Students are allowed into the exam hall 10-15 minutes before the exam.
