History of Kurukshetra University
Kurukshetra University, also called KUK, was started in 1956 as a small residential university. The foundation stone was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. The idea to start this university came from Chandeshwar Prasad Narayan Singh, the then Governor of Punjab and a well-known Sanskrit scholar.
