NTSE Syllabus

NTSE Qualifying Criteria

NTSE Cut Off

Students must pass both sections separately. High marks in one paper are not enough. These are just the basic qualifying marks. Each state also sets its own NTSE cut off. NTSE Scholarship

NTSE Reservation Policy

NTSE follows the Government of India’s reservation policy. Seats are reserved for students from different categories as follows:

• 15% of the seats in NTSE are reserved for SC students.
• 7.5% of seats are reserved for ST students.
• 27% of seats are reserved for OBC students.
• 4% of seats are reserved for PwD students.

Among the 4% PwD reservation:

• 1% of the seats are for certain physical disabilities. This includes students with blindness or low vision, also included are those with deafness or hearing loss. Students with locomotor disability can also apply. This covers cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, & muscular dystrophy.
• Another 1% is for other disabilities. This includes students with autism spectrum disorder, also included are those with intellectual disabilities. Students with specific learning disabilities are eligible. Those with mental illness are also covered under this 1%.
