PU CET 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates preparing for PU CET 2024 must check the PU CET eligibility criteria before applying for the PU CET exam. If the candidate does not meet the necessary PU CET eligibility criteria, the application form will be rejected by the officials.
- Applicants must pass or appear in the 10+2 exam or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks from any recognised board or university or the Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi.
- Candidates should have studied Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology.
- Applicants belonging to the general category will need at least 50% aggregate marks while the OBC/SC/ST and PwD candidates will need a minimum of 45% Marks
- The candidates should be Indian Citizens, foreign or NRI candidates can also apply for the PUCET exam from the foreigner quota.
- The applicants who have cleared the I.N.M.O (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad) don’t need to take the PUCET exam. These candidates can directly join Punjab University’s B.Sc (Hons.) program.

PU CET – Exam Pattern
As per the updated PU CET exam pattern the exam will be held for the duration of 70 minutes. The PU CET test will have 60 questions in the question paper, and each question is worth 2 marks. The questions will cover topics from the CBSE Class 10+2 syllabus. The exam is in English, and it’s taken on a computer. You get 2 marks for every correct answer, but be careful because for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are taken away from your total score.
