Kinds of Fraction
There are three types of fractions: proper fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numbers.
A proper fraction is a fraction in which the numerator (top number) is smaller than the denominator (bottom number). An improper fraction is a fraction in which the numerator is larger than the denominator. A mixed number is a whole number and a fraction, such as 1 1/2.
