Andhra Pradesh NEET: The Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences (formerly Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, NTRUHS), Vijayawada, the counseling authority for Andhra Pradesh, announced the commencement of the Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling 2023 on July 20. The provisional merit list for the counseling was released on August 7, encompassing 13,765 eligible candidates who registered for the process.

Candidates can raise concerns regarding their gender, category, local area, EWS, and minority status by submitting supporting documents by August 9, 4 PM. Additionally, YSRUHS has released a list of 308 candidates whose status is pending due to missing documents. These candidates must upload the required documents within the specified grievance submission window.

The Andhra Pradesh NEET counseling registration process concluded on July 27 at 6 PM. The counseling authority has yet to announce the dates for subsequent events such as choice filling and locking, seat allotment results, document verification, and institute reporting.

NEET Andra Pradesh Counselling: Overview

The counseling authority released a list of 42,836 candidates from Andhra Pradesh who qualified for NEET 2023. While this list serves as a provisional rank list, the final merit list will be determined after the submission and verification of online applications.

The Andhra Pradesh NEET 2023 counseling process will be conducted for the 85% State Quota seats for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The counseling process will be completed online, except for the final stage of document verification and last admission, which will be conducted offline at the allotted institutes.

Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling 2023: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling 2023, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling 2023: Reservations Norms/Criteria

The application fee for counseling varies depending on the candidate’s category:

Upon completing the application form, candidates must print a copy and affix a recent passport-sized photograph in the designated space.
The printed application form and all required documents must be presented at the verification center. Candidates should bring at least three attested copies of each document for verification.

Andhra Pradesh NEET 2023: State Merit List, Web Counselling, and Seat Allotment

1. State Merit List: YSRUHS will release the final merit list after completing the document verification process. Only candidates whose documents have been successfully verified will have their names included in the state merit list. This merit list will be used for seat allotment in counseling.
2. Web Counselling: Web counseling, also known as choice filling, is the process by which candidates select their preferred courses and colleges. To submit their choices online, candidates must log in to their registered accounts on the official YSRUHS website. They can then select their preferred courses and colleges from the provided list. There is no limit to the number of choices candidates can make on the preference form. Therefore, it is recommended that they fill out the preference form with as many choices as possible.
3. Seat Allotment List: YSRUHS prepares the seat allotment list for selected candidates. Seats are allotted based on candidates’ choices and their ranks on the state merit list. Selected candidates must report to the allotted institution to finalize their admission. Seats that remain vacant after the reporting phase will be carried forward to the next round.
